Half Marathon

My dad, Natalie, Me, BreeAnn, and Stephanie after we ran the race

This weekend was a lot of fun! My entire family, with the exception of my youngest sister Andrea, came down and stayed with us. We all ran in the St. George Painters half marathon. I was really nervous because I didn't train very well. The furthest I ran before the race was just under 8 miles. My only hope was that I have already done two full marathons.

The race went really well. My oldest sister Natalie came in first, followed by my dad. Then Steph and I crossed--we ran the whole thing together. Finally Bree came across. To Bree's credit, she is much faster than Steph and I both put together, but she chose to break in some new insoles... You should have seen the blisters!! In fact, I believe I have a picture! Go Bree! You are one tough cookie!

And she had another one just like it on the other foot! OUCH!!

All in all I ended up running about a 9 min 41 sec mile, and taking 26th out of 56. Good job Zollinger family!!

Just before mile 6 and still feeling great!

Finishing in 2 hours and 7 mins

Who is the Happiest Girl you know?

I can't say enough about how great Ryan is! She is a little breath of fresh air!! Today when I put her in the tub she just couldn't stop smiling! She is so happy all the time! She just radiates! Here are some of the many great photos I got! She is such a ham!!

These boots were made for walkin'

So Ryan is walking now! If you count walking with the walker, like in the video, she has been walking for a long time. However, she just started to walk without any help at 10 months! The record is 7 steps! Here is a video of her walking and waving to hold you over until I can capture a good video of her walking.

Christmas and New Year

Meet the busy zoo! It was a great gift idea! Thanks Nana!

she loves her new car seat! She just has to wait another month to use it!

These I don't know why we share because it is all about Ryan not us!

Christmas was so fun for all of us. Ryan didn't really understand the gifts, but she sure liked them once they were unwrapped! She is no longer a baby! The other night she was walking between Jared and I! I can't stop it, she is just getting so big so fast!!

We also had a great New Year!! Jared and I celebrated our 3rd year together on December 30! I think the time flew by, but if you asked him I am sure he would say it felt like much longer than just three short years! The new year also came for us... as it does everyone! We have been so blessed this past year! The number one blessing we would have to say is Ryan! If this year is as good as last we will be so fortunate!!
